"逸" not only means escape and seclusion, but also means an elegant and free life. It is a metaphor for people who visit the Discovery Bay to enjoy the paradise of leisure and seclusion, and it also implies that HKR International never stop until absolute perfection, elegant and cheerful business realm, and at the same time reflects Discovery Bay as a landmark flagship project of HKR. It is hoped that the "Escape-Chair" symbolizes the development of HKR International, which is like the joyful and free flow of the water of the Bay.

Every turning and flowing curve of "Escape-Chair”extracts the natural meandering curve of the waterfront of the Discovery Bay, dynamic, flexible and elegant. The shape of the number "45" is written integrated in the whole piece of geometry. A simple three-dimensional gesture “45” in the space as part of the continued discourse between form and function, elegance and utility, differentiation and continuity, implying and recording the harmonious coexistence of the Discovery Bay and nature in Hong Kong and the historical process of development. Which is also a celebration to commemorate the 45th anniversary of HKR International.

The overall form is an elegant closed loop in 3D space with abstract non-linear geometry, echoing the esthetic of skeleton of Chinese calligraphy gestures. And provides ergonomic practicality and stability inherent in the overall form throughout the smooth stroke in all. And the compositional elegance and clarity of the overall lines are balanced by subtle changes in contrasting rounded corners and smooth curves.
